Pita bread Recipe

Ingredients

21/2 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 tbs sugar
2 tsp yeast
2 tbs olive oil
1 cup warm water

Process

  1. Mix 1 cup flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add oil, water, and beat 3 mins.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup flour at a time until all used.
  4. Knead 6 mins.
  5. Preheat oven to 200-250 degrees.
  6. Divide the dough into 8 pieces.
  7. Roll into balls and cover with a damp towel. Let rest 30 mins.
  8. Roll them into flat disks and bake on foil 5-8 mins.
  9. Remove from oven and stack and wrap with foil.
  10. To make chips cut into to triangles spray with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper and bake 200 degrees for 6-15 mins.
